Grove Announces Strategic Stake in Centrifuge Ecosystem, Deepening Long-Term Partnership
The initial position establishes a 37.8 million CFG token holding for Grove and builds on more than $1.27 billion currently deployed through Centrifuge infrastructure.
Grove is expanding its longstanding partnership with Centrifuge, a tokenization and onchain asset management platform, to support the continued growth of institutional-grade tokenized assets in onchain finance. The CFG position marks an evolution from protocol integration toward deeper strategic alignment between the Grove and Centrifuge ecosystems.
Building the infrastructure layer for tokenized credit
In June 2025, the onchain footprint of tokenized real-world assets was $12 billion. Today, the market has more than tripled to over $38 billion. Over the same period, Centrifuge grew from $450 million to $1.64 billion in total value locked. Its infrastructure has supported Grove’s allocations into tokenized products such as such as Apollo's ACRDX and Janus Henderson's JAAA and JTRSY.
The industry learned how to tokenize assets faster than it learned how to distribute them. The relationship between Grove and Centrifuge was built around that gap. Centrifuge provides the issuance infrastructure, and Grove provides the allocation layer through which institutional partners deploy capital onchain.
Growth alone does not create a market. Scaling tokenized assets requires a repeatable pipeline that brings issuance, capital, and distribution together.
Grove's capital allocation infrastructure and Centrifuge's tokenization and distribution stack form that pipeline, expanding the availability, liquidity, and composability of tokenized credit and other RWAs within onchain finance. The strategic partnership, reinforced by Grove's position in CFG, reflects the parties' shared interest in scaling tokenized asset infrastructure over the long term.
“We’ve been building alongside Centrifuge since the early days of MakerDAO, and their infrastructure has been foundational to Grove from our very first allocation. Taking a strategic stake in CFG reflects both our conviction in what Centrifuge has built and our shared view of where capital markets are going,” said Mark Phillips, CEO & Co-Founder at Grove Labs.
